How it works
From initial consultation to your follow-up appointment and beyond, Medical Destinations will be your end-to-end concierge. We take care of all the details so you can focus on your health.Â

Our process consists of four distinct phases: Pre-trip preparation, plan of care creation and travel planning, travel and appointments, and post-trip follow-up.
01
Pre-trip preparation
During the pre-trip phase, we complete an intake call, understand your goals and relevant medical history, obtain the required release of information and written authorization forms, and gather the medical records needed for physician review, including PCP records, specialist records, prior procedure records, imaging reports, and other relevant documentation.
02
Once records are collected, we organize them into a concise packet for review by matched healthcare providers. The healthcare provider reviews your information and creates a custom plan of care, including the recommended treatment, appointment schedule, pre-operative requirements, expected length of stay, recovery expectations, and follow-up instructions.
Plan of care creation and travel planning
03
Travel and appointments
Once a plan of care has been created, we will confirm with you and then help coordinate all travel and lodging. You will be sent an itinerary with all appointment dates, times, locations, and travel arrangements. During your travel and appointments, our medical navigators are available to answer any questions.Â
04
Post-trip follow-up
After the trip, we make sure you and your home care team obtain your records created during the trip, coordinate local follow-up when needed, and support continuity of care with your home care team.
