About Medical Destinations
When I started my first job as a medical office manager, a physician asked me a question I have never forgotten:
“What’s the most important thing in healthcare?”
The answer changed my life and may change yours.
Patients.
My first job in healthcare was as a sitter. I monitored patients who were too sick to be alone. Sitting in a hospital room at 9:00 PM with a patient who is scared, angry, confused, and screaming at you teaches you a lot about yourself. More than anything, it taught me compassion.
After that, I moved into a role helping patients travel across the United States for back and neck surgery. That experience opened my eyes to what medical travel can make possible. When patients travel, they find new options, better access, and a path forward they didn't have at home.
From there, I went on to manage surgical and medical specialty practices. I loved the work. Helping hundreds of patients each week get the care they needed was motivating, meaningful, and personal.
But everywhere I went in healthcare, I kept seeing the same problems.
Insurance companies have too much control over the care patients receive. Even when a physician believes a patient would benefit from surgery or treatment, an insurance company may still decide that the care is not approved. That is wrong.
Access to medical care is becoming a bigger issue. Patients are waiting longer to see physicians, especially in rural communities. As more physicians retire and demand for care grows, patients are struggling to get the care they need when they need it. That is wrong.
Cost has become one of the biggest barriers of all. Healthcare in the United States is more expensive than ever, and the problem is only getting worse. People are being shut out of healthcare because they can't pay. That is wrong.
I created Medical Destinations to help solve those problems.
Patients are the most important thing in healthcare. Medical Destinations gives us the chance to put patients first by helping create international pathways to affordable, vetted, high-quality medical care without waiting on insurance to decide if it's okay.
Our mission is simple:
Bringing people to healthcare.
How we make patients the most important thing.
Medical Navigation - We help guide patients through the healthcare journey with clarity. From the first conversation through the final details of the trip, we help you understand your options, organize the process, and move forward with confidence.
Custom Plans of Care - We work with you and your medical team to help organize the steps needed before you travel. That may include collecting medical records, coordinating information, understanding next steps, and helping make sure important details do not fall through the cracks.
End-to-End Travel Planning - Medical travel can feel overwhelming. Flights, hotels, transportation, appointments, records, schedules, and follow-up details all matter. We help take that stress off your plate. Our goal is to make the process as simple as possible so you can focus on the reason you are traveling in the first place: getting care.
Why It Matters

Medical Destinations exists because we believe patients should have access to clear guidance, practical help, and affordable options.
Patients are our passion, and we are on a mission to bring people to healthcare.
We look forward to serving you.
